Backend Developer (f/m/x)

In this role, you’ll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Your Role And Responsibilities

As a Backend Developer at IBM, you'll work with clients to co-create solutions to major real-world challenges by using best practice technologies, tools, techniques, and products to translate system requirements into the design and development of customized systems. Your responsibilities include:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Implementing and maintaining RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Ensuring secure, clean, and maintainable code.
• Collaborating in agile teams (Scrum/SAFe) and contributing to CI/CD pipelines.
• Working closely with DevOps and QA for seamless deployment and testing.

Switzerland

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

• Extensive experience in Java and Spring Boot development
• Strong experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs
• Hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases
• Practical experience in developing microservices architectures
• Proficient in containerization (Docker) and Kubernetes
• Familiar with CI/CD tools
• Knowledge of JUnit
• Excellent knowledge of one of the following: OpenShift Or Azure or AWS
• Experience working in Scrum or SAFe environments
• Fluent in German and English (written & spoken)
• Swiss or EU nationality, or a valid Swiss work permit
  
  

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

• Experienced in using IntelliJ, Helm, ArgoCD, GitLab/GitHub, Tekton
• MavenSolid understanding of clean and secure coding practices
• Knowledge of Cucumber
• Familiarity with Jira
• Understanding of AI concepts within software development lifecycle
