Security Consultant

Medior Security Consultant (Freelance)

📍 Location: Brussels | 🏠 Hybrid (2 days on-site/week) | 💼 Full-time | 🧠 4–5 years experience

Are you passionate about cybersecurity and ready to take ownership of day-to-day security operations? We're looking for a hands-on Security Consultant to join the team of our client and help strengthen their defenses across cloud and on-prem environments.

What you’ll be doing:

• Managing vulnerabilities and patching
• Engineering and tuning detections (Defender, Sentinel)
• Investigating security incidents
• Ensuring compliance with security policies
• Collaborating across teams to improve security posture
• Lead security assessments
• Monitor and respond to alerts
• Support incident response
• Drive continuous improvement in security processes
• Contribute to secure development practices

What we’re looking for:

• 4–5 years in operational cybersecurity (SecOps, pen testing, secure code review)
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, threat modeling, and cloud security
• Strong technical skills in patching, hardening, and endpoint protection
• Fluent in English + at least one national language (NL/FR)
• A team player who’s curious, proactive, and detail-oriented
