An exceptional opportunity to join a well-funded, early-stage SaaS startup as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and take full ownership of building the company’s engineering function and core product from the ground up.

This role offers complete technical autonomy — from defining the product architecture to setting the technology strategy and building the engineering team. You will be supported by a UHNWI Individual with a strong successful entrepreneurial background to bring this Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) platform to market.

The ideal candidate is a highly professional, delivery-focused technical leader with a strong background in software engineering, deep understanding of financial and accounting systems, and experience operating in high-growth, startup environments.

You must be able to operate with full independence, make critical decisions with confidence, and consistently deliver high-quality outcomes.

The Opportunity:

• Founding CTO position in a purpose-built, investor-backed SaaS company
• Full ownership of technical strategy, product architecture, and delivery roadmap
• Build a robust, scalable FP&A platform tailored to the needs of modern finance teams
• Lead all aspects of the engineering function — from hiring to infrastructure decisions
• Partner closely with the CEO and commercial leadership to shape product direction
• Operate with a high degree of autonomy, accountability, and strategic influence
• Remote-first role with flexibility on location (working hours aligned to Irish time zone)

What You Bring:

• Experience as a CTO, Head of Engineering, or Senior Engineering Leader in a SaaS environment
• Strong software development background with a track record of building and scaling high-quality products
• Domain expertise in financial systems, FP&A tools, or accounting platforms is essential
• Prior experience in an early-stage startup or scale-up, including 0→1 product development
• Comfortable making independent, high-stakes technical decisions and following through with execution
• A highly professional, self-motivated, and resilient mindset capable of navigating complexity and delivering results under pressure
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build and inspire a high-performing team
