Java Backend Developer

Tele2 is looking for a Java Backend developer who is going to be a part of a team that builds new and highly prioritized solutions within Tele2 BSSC (Baltic Shared Service Center) team. The team owns BSS systems and runs initiative for the BSS transformation by building new solutions like CAPO (catalog for assets, products and orders tools), consents management system, oneCSR tool - from start to finish.

What You Will Do:

write reusable, testable and efficient code;
collaborate with Solution Architect in order to confirm that the code reflects desired architecture;
agree on business solution with Product Owner;
build, test, deploy, monitor, maintain products and services while also implementing / evaluating new technologies if needed;
actively participate in root cause analysis and solve support cases;
keep development projects on track and participate in the team following Agile practices.

What We Expect:

minimum 3+ years of professional experience in Java development;
proficiency in Modern Java (Java 21) and frameworks like Spring Boot 3.x or Jakarta EE 10;
strong experience in developing APIs and back-end services using Java (REST API, JSON, HTTP);
hands-on experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred; also MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle DB), using Spring Data JPA with Hibernate or alternative JPA providers (such as EclipseLink or OpenJPA), or Spring-based solutions like MyBatis or Spring Data JDBC;
familiarity with Continuous Integration tools, Git, and build tools like Maven/Gradle;
experience in unit and integration testing using JUnit 5, Mockito, Rest Assured;
good understanding of monitoring and logging (SLF4J + Logback/Log4j 2);
strong adherence to clean code and development practices, including pair programming, code reviews, and unit testing;
knowledge of software design patterns and microservices architecture;
fluency in Lithuanian and English.

It would be an advantage if you have:

experience with Spring Profiles, environment setups, and tools like Springdoc OpenAPI (Swagger);
familiarity with GitLab CI/CD pipelines;
knowledge of modular software design and clean architecture principles.
