What you’ll do as an Analytics Data Engineer:

As a Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our organization, supporting and enabling key business processes. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architecture for analytics and reporting.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze large volumes of data.
• Write robust Python scripts and tools for data processing, integration, and automation.
• Collaborate with the analytics team to define and transform Google Analytics data and other raw data into key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Ensure data integrity and consistency across sources, including cloud-based platforms and analytics tools.
• Demonstrating fluency in both written and verbal English.

Essential Criteria:

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and capabilities:

• Proven expertise in writing complex SQL queries for data analysis and ETL processes.
• Proficiency in Python for data engineering.
• Strong understanding of digital analytics, with hands-on experience interpreting and implementing Google Analytics KPIs.
• Proficient organizational skills, along with the ability to prioritize and self-manage projects and time effectively.
• Experience with data warehousing technologies (BigQuery, SQL Server).
• Experience with cloud-computing platform (Google Cloud Platform).
• Ability to translate business questions into technical requirements and actionable data solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• A minimum of one (2) years of professional experience in data analysis and data modeling is required.

Scripting and programming languages:

• Python
• SQL

Databases and management:

• BigQuery (main)
• MS SQL (non-essential)
• Kubernetes (orchestration)
• dbt Core or other (transforming)

Knowledge of business intelligence and reporting applications:

• PowerBI
• Google Data Studio (Looker studio)

Code versioning and CI-CD:

• GitLab

Desirable Criteria:

Additional qualifications and characteristics that would be advantageous include:

• Experience with dbt.
• The ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines.
• A positive outlook and productive work style, even in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with performance improvement initiatives and/or Agile methodologies is preferred.
