About the role

To support our continued growth, we are looking for a Settlement Specialist to join our finance team. As a Settlement Specialist at Coinmerce, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely settlement of transactions across various asset classes, including equities, fixed income, and derivatives. You will work closely with internal and external teams to manage trade settlements and optimize processes.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the end-to-end settlement of trades across multiple asset classes.
  • Reconcile daily accounts, promptly resolving any discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to resolve settlement issues.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare detailed settlement reports.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance operational efficiency.


What you bring:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar settlement or financial operations role.
  • Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle, settlement processes, and financial markets.
  • Proficiency in using financial software and settlement systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.


Nice to have:

  • Professional certifications such as CFA or CPA.
  • Experience in the cryptocurrency, fintech, or blockchain industry.
