Role Overview
They’re looking for a Lead Data Analyst - Product who can truly own and drive our product analytics strategy end to end. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in startup settings, can work independently, and is ready to design and build our analytics foundation from scratch.
You will lead everything from defining tracking requirements to analyzing data and delivering strategic recommendations that shape the product roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and own the entire product analytics process from concept to execution.
- Define key product metrics and KPIs aligned with company goals.
- Develop and maintain event tracking plans and collaborate with engineering to implement them.
- Build and manage data pipelines as needed, with strong SQL and data modeling skills.
- Conduct in-depth analyses of user behavior, conversion funnels, and feature adoption.
- Design, execute, and evaluate A/B tests and experiments to guide product strategy.
- Deliver clear, actionable insights to product, engineering, and leadership teams.
- Build intuitive dashboards and reporting tools for ongoing visibility into performance.
- Champion a data-informed culture across the organization.
Requirements
- 4–7 years of experience in Product Analytics, Data Analytics, or Data Science with a clear focus on product and user behavior in marketplace products or multi-sided platforms.
- Proven track record of end-to-end ownership of analytics projects—from defining what to measure to driving implementation and presenting recommendations.
- Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with data pipeline development or maintenance.
- Experience designing event tracking plans and working with engineering to implement them.
- Proficiency with product analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Mixpanel, Amplitude, Google Analytics, Looker, Tableau).
- Solid understanding of A/B testing, experimentation frameworks, and causal inference.
- Ability to communicate complex data clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Startup-ready mindset: comfortable with ambiguity, shifting priorities, and lean teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with customer journey mapping and user segmentation.
- Exposure to data engineering tools (e.g., Airflow, DBT, BigQuery, Redshift).
