The UI Designer is a key member of the PlayStation Studios Creative team. In this role, you’ll work closely and collaboratively with both our UI/UX team and Naughty Dog. You’ll have the opportunity to work directly with Naughty Dog in their Santa Monica studio, applying your skills and creativity to positively impact the design and development of its next AAA experience.
Skills / Expertise
PlayStation Studios Creative is an internal creative team that works closely with some of the industry’s top development studios to bring their creative vision to life. Our team is small but driven, putting an emphasis on quality storytelling and creativity to deliver memorable and impactful experiences to our consumers.
For over 30 years, Naughty Dog has been crafting best-selling, critically acclaimed games that constantly push the boundaries of narrative, gameplay, and technology. Our most recent game, The Last of Us Part II, has received over 300 Game of the Year awards and three of our games are among the top 10 highest scored games on the PlayStation 4. As a part of the Naughty Dog legacy, you’ll become a part of continuing the development of extraordinary and enduring experiences for a broad, global range of audiences.

Please note that the individual base pay range may vary based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

$59.91—$82.31 USD

Skills / Expertise
- Professional level of UI/UX skills (Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, equivalent field, or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of industry experience, preferably on a AAA title
- Self-sufficient and self-motivated; able to manage workload and meet project deadlines
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Proficient with industry standard programs (Adobe Creative Suite and Figma)
- Experience with controller UI
- Experience with user research and playtesting
- Art and/or visual design skills
- Familiarity with UI editors (Unity, Unreal or other)
- Passion for UI/UX, art, game design, and gaming
- Strong understanding of both UI and UX design principles and their application to console gaming
- Create wireframes, mockups, user flows, and prototypes as needed. This will be both from scratch and within existing designs
- Experience collaborating across disciplines to solve complex user-experience challenges
- Ability to work in an iterative, feedback-driven environment with evolving goal
- Assist UI Tech Designers and Engineers with implementing assets
