Quintiq Application Support / Development Specialist

Role Overview

Seeking a highly skilled Application Support / Development Specialist with proven experience in Quintiq systems to lead configuration, development, and support activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical foundation, analytical acumen, and the ability to manage complex enterprise application environments—particularly in planning and optimization systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute software configuration and deployment activities across all stages of the development lifecycle.
• Provide hands-on technical expertise in application development and integrations.
• Analyze and resolve complex application faults and incidents with clear documentation and reporting.
• Produce detailed design specifications including data flow diagrams, database schemas, and UI layouts.
• Apply best-fit development methodologies (Agile or Waterfall) for project-specific needs.
• Design and execute functional and non-functional test cases, ensuring system quality.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and address complex, non-standard application issues.
• Engage stakeholders to define technical scope, requirements, and enhancements.
• Maintain high-quality documentation, contributing to system reviews and technical audits.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  
  

Professional Experience

• Minimum 10 years in IT solution implementation and management.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Quintiq applications, including:
• Production Planning
• Delivery Planning & Scheduling
• Optimization Modules
• Industry experience in Oil & Gas, preferably LNG environments, is a strong asset.
  

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of Quintiq application architecture, configuration, and integration.
• Proficiency in software design principles and programming methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and relational database environments.
• Understanding of system testing processes and lifecycle.
