Kubernetes Platform Engineer

We're hiring a Kubernetes-focused Platform Engineer to help build and manage a high-performance, bare-metal infrastructure tailored to diverse workloads-from latency-sensitive systems to big data processing and internal applications.

This is a hands-on technical role for someone with a strong DevOps mindset and deep experience with Kubernetes in on-prem environments. You'll work closely with infrastructure, networking, and observability teams to deliver a reliable and scalable platform.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Take ownership of Kubernetes cluster design, deployment, and lifecycle management across multiple datacentres
• Collaborate closely with network and infrastructure engineers to ensure low-latency, high-throughput system performance
• Support a broad range of applications, from real-time systems to analytics and middleware
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate testing, and drive improvements through infrastructure as code
• Operate in a security-conscious environment governed by Privileged Access Management (PAM)
• Contribute to platform observability and reliability initiatives

What We're Looking For:

• Strong experience with Linux (Ubuntu and/or Red Hat)
• Hands-on Kubernetes administration (including configuration, maintenance, and operational best practices) and experience with bare metal infrastructure.
• Familiarity with container networking (Calico Enterprise is a plus)
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, BGP, VRFs, etc.
• Scripting and automation skills using Bash, Python, Ansible, Terraform, and Helm
• Experience with DevOps practices such as code review, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing
• Comfortable working in a highly secure environment with PAM controls in place

This is a full-time, on-site position based in central London. Remote or hybrid options are not available.
