We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join our team and lead the design and development of innovative internal platforms that empower development teams with self-service capabilities at scale.

This role is at the forefront of creating seamless workflows, enabling operational efficiency, and driving best practices across multiple teams.

Feel free to work remotely from anywhere across Latvia or connect with colleagues at our Riga office.

Responsibilities


  • Design, build, and maintain scalable internal platforms to streamline application deployment, monitoring, and management
  • Develop standardized tools, frameworks, and libraries to enhance development workflows and promote best practices
  • Ensure seamless integration of development tools and services within the platform ecosystem for improved multi-team collaboration
  • Focus on enhancing developer experience through robust documentation, training, and support for platform tools and services
  • Implement high availability, reliability, and performance standards to support the needs of extensive development teams
  • Utilize DORA metrics to evaluate and improve the performance of development and operational processes
  • Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive platform innovation and developer productivity
  • Collaborate across development, operations, and security teams to ensure smooth application integration and support
  • Provide technical guidance to address platform-related issues and improve system health, reliability, and efficiency


Requirements


  • At least 3 years of experience in platform engineering or a related field
  • Strong understanding of software development processes, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices
  • Proficiency in cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and containerization tools such as Docker or Kubernetes
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep, coupled with GitOps tools like Flux or ArgoCD
  • Familiarity with technologies like Crossplane, Pulumi, or AWS Controllers for Kubernetes (ACK) for cloud resource management
  • Expertise with Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs) such as Backstage, Humanitec, or OpsLevel to improve team productivity
  • Competency in building and maintaining high availability, high performance, multi-data center systems, and hybrid cloud environments
  • Background in scripting with Bash, Shell, or Python
  • Showcase of skills in troubleshooting complex issues ranging from system resources to application stack traces
  • Good English communication skills in both speaking and writing

Salary range €3.4K-€4.9K gross, based on your experience and interview results.
