Job Description

Role & Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Backend Engineering team, providing mentorship,
  
  

guidance, and support to team members.

• Architect and oversee the development of scalable, reliable, and
  
  

high-performance backend systems using Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Redis,

Golang, etc hosted on GCP.

• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and other stakeholders
  
  

to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications and

deliverables.

• Drive the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including planning,
  
  

estimation, execution, and delivery of backend projects.

• Take ownership of technical decisions, code reviews, and ensure best practices
  
  

are followed in the team.

• Recruit, hire, and onboard new engineers, fostering a collaborative and
  
  

high-performing team environment.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers, promoting their
  
  

professional growth and skill development.

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices
  
  

in backend engineering to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Requirements

• 8-10 years of experience, with proven ability to lead a team of 15+ people.
• Solid experience in backend engineering using Python, with expertise in
  
  

frameworks such as Django and FastAPI.

• Previous experience in a leadership or management role, preferably as an
  
  

Engineering Manager or Technical Lead.

• Strong understanding of software development methodologies, architectural
  
  

patterns, and database design.

• Ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven
  
  

culture.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively
  
  

interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make strategic and technical
  
  

decisions.

• Experience with B2B SaaS products and e-commerce is a plus.
  
  

Compensation: Varies based on previous experience and role, butfair as per industry

standards and comes with generous ESOPs to ensure we grow together!
