React Native Engineer

The Role

We are seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer to lead the development of our mobile applications focused on grocery list creation and price comparison. You will be joining a mission-driven team working to help thousands of families find the best grocery deals through intuitive, high-impact mobile solutions. As part of our product engineering group, you will work closely with design, product, and leadership to shape the future of our mobile experience.

Responsibilities

Lead the development of mobile applications for grocery lists and price comparison.
Build and enhance interactive React Native apps used daily by tens of thousands of users.
Collaborate closely with the design team on feature implementation, UX, and microinteractions.
Contribute to feature ideation, specification, and product enhancement discussions.
Develop reusable mobile components to support scalability and team efficiency.
Work alongside the CTO and cross-functional teams to evolve our mobile strategy.
Continuously improve the app’s performance, quality, and maintainability.

Requirements

5+ years of professional experience building mobile applications using React Native and Expo.
Proven track record in delivering a production-grade mobile app (iOS & Android).
Proficiency in JavaScript (functional and prototypal programming).
Strong command of TypeScript and Python.
Solid software testing practices and clean code principles.
Experience integrating with backend APIs and consuming data from external services.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Highly adaptable, proactive, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
Collaborative, with a team-first mentality and a strong desire to contribute to user success.
Previous experience in a tech startup or fast-paced environment is a plus.
