Fujitsu is seeking a highly skilled AI Software Engineer to join an exciting project within the EU Institutions in Brussels. This role combines solid backend development skills with hands-on AI engineering, contributing to cutting-edge projects involving LLM architectures, chatbots, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines.
🔧 Key Responsibilities & Expertise
- Design, develop, and integrate scalable software solutions using Java and Python
- Build AI-powered applications: chatbots, LLM interfaces, and RAG pipelines
- Manage data using both relational and NoSQL databases (including vector stores)
- Work with messaging systems and ensure robust system integration
- Apply AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or equivalent
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a dynamic EU public sector environment
âś… Must-Have Skills
- Master’s degree in Computer Science
- 5–10 years’ experience in software development and integration
- Proficiency in Java, Python, and database management
- Strong understanding of AI concepts and LLM architectures
- Experience in AI tooling and building conversational agents

- Experience with Spring, Drupal, Haystack, or LangChain
- Exposure to NoSQL datastores (especially for vector embeddings)
