We are looking for someone who is passionate about transforming payment solutions and leading innovation to join us as a Tech Lead in our team for Payment Services. In this role, you will take charge of the development of Coop’s digital payment service, Coopay. Coopay is our mobile payment solution, and with 1 million users and 100.000 daily transactions, the service creates value for many of Coop’s members! In addition, you will be in charge of the tech stack and further technological development of the CoopKey app, and you'll be in charge of the further development of Coop's digitally manned stores.

In other words, this role provides a variety of exciting challenges!

We need someone who can work hands-on with Coopay and CoopKey, and someone who can strategically plan, map out, and take the lead for the technological roadmap ahead.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Develop payment services that are part of Coop's customer-facing products, ensuring high-quality user experiences.
• Oversee the tech stack and further technological development of the CoopKey app, and how we further develop our digitally manned stores.
• Be a key stakeholder in defining the architecture for the future of all payment services at Coop.
• Taking full ownership of the solutions - “you build it, you run it” mentality.
• Nurturing an environment of collaboration, and building technical competence, within the payment domain.
  
  
  

About The Team

As our new Tech Lead, you will be leading the developers in a cross-functional product team. The team includes mobile app developers, backend developers, a designer, and product managers for Payment Services and Digitally manned stores.

The team follows agile methodologies using Kanban.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone with at least 7 years of relevant experience within the field.

Additionally, we believe experience with the following technologies is necessary to succeed and thrive in this role:

• Experience with system design and architecture.
• Experience developing backend services using modern programming languages such as Golang (Go).
• Experience with one or more cloud providers (preferably GCP), with a strong DevOps mindset.
• An educational background in IT or computer science is preferred, but relevant experience can make up for the lack of formal education.
