Mission Statement

• Responsible for cybersecurity legal aspects within Hitachi Energy’s European operations, including monitoring, reviewing, and supporting compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
• Guide and counsel stakeholders to ensure understanding and coordination of legal measures related to cybersecurity.
• Advise and represent Hitachi Energy’s interests concerning legal cybersecurity issues, including participation in incident and vulnerability response teams.
• Collaborate with regional, national, and global legal and cybersecurity teams within Hitachi Energy.
• Note: Data privacy experience is beneficial but not required for this role.
  
  

In This Role, You Will

• Serve as legal counsel for cybersecurity in Europe.
• Provide strategic legal advice to align with business goals while ensuring compliance and protecting reputation.
• Promote awareness of cybersecurity laws, regulations, and policies.
• Monitor legal developments and collaborate with external counsel and internal teams to adapt strategies.
• Develop and maintain legal standards, policies, and contract provisions related to cybersecurity.
• Participate in incident response teams, providing legal guidance during cybersecurity incidents and vulnerabilities.
• Assist in drafting and negotiating cybersecurity provisions in commercial agreements.
• Advise on cybersecurity audits and manage external legal counsel.
• Work with global cybersecurity organizations and legal teams across regions.
• Support various projects within the Digital & Service Legal Center of Excellence and broader legal functions.
