Level Designer - Unity

Midas Games, a forward-thinking company backed by a substantial $1M pre-seed funding, is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Level Designer to join our growing team.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze similar games in the market to understand what makes levels fun, challenging, and engaging.
• Design and build test levels for games in development, working closely with game designers and developers to explore mechanics and player experience.
• Prepare a large volume of polished, well-balanced levels ahead of game launches, ensuring a smooth and content-rich release.
• Continuously analyze existing levels across multiple live games, identifying weak points and areas for improvement using player data and feedback.
• Collaborate with product managers to improve and track level performance, iterating on design to maximize player retention and satisfaction.
• Work in Unity to implement, test, and adjust levels directly, with attention to pacing, difficulty progression, and visual clarity.

Requirements

• Work onsite at our Istanbul or Ankara office, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
• 2+ years of professional experience in level design or game design, preferably in casual puzzle games.
• Strong understanding of gameplay flow, pacing, challenge curves, and how level design supports core mechanics.
• Hands-on experience building levels in Unity.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret player data and make design decisions based on it.
• Clear communication and documentation skills; ability to share and explain design ideas, iterations, and rationale effectively.
• Passion for games and a desire to create meaningful, engaging experiences for players.
