Role Description
The incumbent will be primarily responsible for managing and delivering technology solutions pertaining to Information Security. This includes design and implement key technology solutions that protect the firm from cyber security attacks while ensuring that such products help the organization maintain compliance with International regulations and relevant industry standards (such as PCI DSS, ISO 27001, et al).
The incumbent will be the focal point for all IT security engineering related issues, engaging with key stakeholders, partners and suppliers to ensure suitable levels of security are in place and fully managed
Essential Duties & Responsibilities by Dimensions:
A. Shareholder & Financial:
- Implements KPI’s and best practices for Security Technology Engineering
- Promote cost consciousness and efficiency and enhance productivity, to minimise cost, avoid waste, and optimise benefits for the bank.
- Act within the limits of the powers delegated to the incumbent.
- Support the Department’s annual costing and budgeting process
- Help and support the Information Security budget process in collaboration with the SVP of Cyber Security Strategy and Product management ensuring that systems under management are always licensed and appropriately sized.
B. Customer (Internal & External):
- Provide consulting services to IT and Business lines, to ensure that security controls managed by the team are included in all new IT systems.
- Responsible for supervising the teams in accordance within defined operational process, procedures and guidelines, aligned to good practise for service management, problem and incident management, change management and configuration management.
- Support on Creating Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for performance monitoring and quality measurement purposes for the personnel in their team and monitor their achievement on periodic basis.
- Maintain activities in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with internal departments/units to achieve improvements in turn-around time.
- Proactively work with business units to implement controls that meet agreed policies and standards for information security.
- To assist customers in all their queries on Bank’s product and seek solution to their requests.
- Maintain activities in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with internal departments/units to achieve improvements in turn-around time.
- Build and maintain strong/effective relationships with related departments/units to achieve the Group’s objectives.
- Provide timely/accurate data to external/internal Auditors, Compliance, Financial Control and Risk when required.
C. Internal (Processes, Products, Regulatory):
- Supporting the design and implementation of the QNB's information security program.
- Benchmark and use industry best practices to evaluate the performance of the technologies under the GIS management, develop and manage plans for design, implementation, technical integration, maintenance and upgrade to improve Information Security
- Assess, evaluate and make recommendations to management regarding the adequacy of the security controls for the QNB's information security and information technology systems.
- Develop, implement and administer technical security standards, as well as a suite of security services and tools to address and mitigate security risk.
- Examine impacts of new technologies on the QNB's overall information security profile.
- Responsible to ensuring that any audit issues or identified regulatory gaps are addressed timely.
- Establish processes to review implementation of new technologies to ensure security compliance.
