Lead Application Developer

Key Responsibilities: 

•    Refactor and modernise legacy applications for cloud compatibility and performance. 

•    Collaborate with architects and DevOps engineers to implement Azure-native solutions. 

•    Migrate application components and services to Azure App Services, AKS, or other PaaS offerings. 

•    Ensure code quality, maintainability, and alignment with cloud architecture patterns. 

•    Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and Agile ceremonies. 

•    Troubleshoot and resolve issues during migration and post-deployment. 

•    Document technical changes, migration steps, and operational procedures. 

Technical Skills & Expertise: 

Core Development Platforms: 

•    .NET Framework, .NET Core, Classic ASP 

•    Java (Spring Boot or similar) 

•    PHP (Laravel, Symfony, or vanilla) 

•    WordPress (custom themes, plugins, multisite) 

Cloud & Integration: 

•    Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) 

•    REST APIs, authentication (OAuth, Azure AD), and third-party integrations 

DevOps & CI/CD: 

•    Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins 

•    Git-based version control and branching strategies 

Scripting & Automation: 

•    PowerShell, Bash, or Python (for deployment and automation tasks) 

Testing & Quality Assurance: 

•    Unit testing frameworks (xUnit, JUnit, PHPUnit) 

•    Integration and regression testing practices 

Documentation & Collaboration: 

•    Proficiency in Confluence, Azure DevOps Boards, and technical documentation 

Preferred Qualifications: 

•    Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate or equivalent 

•    10+ years of experience in application development and modernisation 

•    Experience in cloud migration projects and Agile delivery environments 

•    Strong problem-solving and communication skills
