The team is responsible for all tools that provide expert views into the media and metadata processing pipelines as well as engineering development and deployment tools for specialized media workflows that serve operations teams responsible for publishing content to Disney’s Direct to Consumer services.

How will you contribute to our magical experience?
The team is responsible for all tools that provide expert views into the media and metadata processing pipelines as well as engineering development and deployment tools for specialized media workflows that serve operations teams responsible for publishing content to Disney’s Direct to Consumer services.
The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for:
- Craft web application software using REACT, with strong software development fundamentals and strong design principles (object oriented or functional).
- Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables.
- Contribute to a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Build quality products.
- Provide on-call rotational support as needed .
- 4+ years of software engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in backend and frontend development using technologies such as Python, Java, or JavaScript, with a strong focus on React.
- Advanced level of English.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-growth, or startup environments.
- Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Git version control.
- Experience with AWS/cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, Docker, and messaging systems like Kafka, Kinesis, or SQS (is a plus)
- Familiarity with media player integration, web accessibility, web standards, modern technologies, and async/concurrent programming (is a plus)
