Back End Developer

🚀 We're Hiring: Backend Developer | Build Scalable & Modern Applications!

Are you passionate about backend development and building robust, scalable systems? We’re looking for a Backend Developer to join our growing team and work on innovative solutions using modern technologies and agile best practices.

📍 Location: Lisbon (Hybrid – 2x/week in-office)

💬 French level: B1 (able to communicate in a professional environment)

🔧 What You’ll Do:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java/J2EE and Spring Boot
• Build and consume RESTful APIs to support frontend and external integrations
• Work with MongoDB for high-performance, flexible data storage
• Integrate and manage asynchronous communication using Kafka
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment
• Use GitLab for version control, CI/CD, and code reviews
• Ensure code quality, scalability, and performance of backend systems

🧠 What You Bring:

• Strong experience in Java/J2EE and Spring Boot
• Hands-on knowledge of MongoDB and REST API development
• Experience working with GitLab and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
• Understanding of Kafka or other messaging systems
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
• Solid debugging, problem-solving, and performance tuning skills

💡 Bonus Points For:

• Knowledge of microservices architecture
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Exposure to DevOps practices and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.)
