We are looking for a System Test Engineer with expertise in automotive Ethernet networking, Base Software, and HIL-based system validation. You will be involved in end-to-end system testing of ECUs, Ethernet switches (Marvell or similar), with a strong focus on integration, requirement traceability, and system robustness in an automotive context.
Key Responsibilities:
• System Validation: Plan and execute system-level tests in HIL environments for verifying Ethernet communication, ECU integration, and software functionalities.
• HIL Setup & Maintenance: Configure and manage HIL benches (dSPACE, Vector VT, NI, or similar), including test automation and signal conditioning.
• Test Design: Create and maintain detailed test cases linked to system/software requirements with complete traceability using tools like , SystemWeaver.
• Networking Focus: Test automotive Ethernet protocols (SOME/IP, DoIP, TCP/IP, VLANs), ensuring correct switch behaviour and network routing across ECUs.
• Debugging & Analysis: Use tools like Wireshark, CANoe, CAPL, Vector tools to capture, analyze, and troubleshoot network traffic and software issues.
• Defect Management: Log, track, and verify defects using tools like JIRA, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve them.
• Cybersecurity & Safety Testing: Participate in system-level testing for cybersecurity threats, network robustness, and functional safety (ISO 26262, UNECE R155).
• Supplier & Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate with external suppliers and internal teams (system designers, architects, cybersecurity, software developers) to ensure end-to-end test coverage.
• Continuous Improvement: Provide feedback to system engineers for design improvements based on test results and field data.
Required Skills & Experience:
• experience in automotive system testing, especially in Ethernet/Networking domains
• Hands-on experience in HIL-based testing (using dSPACE, NI, or Vector HIL platforms)
• Understanding of Ethernet switch behaviour (Marvell preferred, others acceptable)
• Experience with CAN, LIN, FlexRay protocols and related tools (CANalyzer, CANoe, CAPL)
• Strong understanding of automotive network stacks: SOME/IP, DoIP, TCP/IP, VLANs
• Exposure to cybersecurity testing and system safety validation
• Familiar with requirement management and traceability tools (Elektra, SystemWeaver)
• Working knowledge of test automation scripting (Python, CAPL, or similar)
