Responsibilities

• Contribute to the backend development team by assisting with the design, implementation, and deployment of scalable services under the guidance of senior teammates
• Support code review processes—actively receive feedback and gradually begin to provide constructive comments
• Help improve monitoring and alerting (e.g., New Relic) by learning existing dashboards and suggesting small enhancements
• Follow established software standards and collaborate with the team to maintain code quality

Skills & Knowledge

• Basic understanding of backend development concepts and a strong desire to write production‑ready code
• Hands‑on exposure to Go (Golang) through university projects, internships, or personal experiments
• Familiarity with HTTP/REST; any experience with gRPC and Protocol Buffers is a plus
• Coursework or project experience with relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) or NoSQL (MongoDB) databases
• Some exposure to cloud‑native environments (AWS or equivalent) via labs, tutorials, or internships
• Any experience with monitoring/logging tools (Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, New Relic) is a bonus

Nice to Have

• 1–2 years of relevant industry experience (internships, part-time roles, or full-time positions) is a strong plus
