Senior Backend Engineer - Golang

Charterhouse is currently working with a 'Tech for Good' software development company, who is looking for a talented Senior Backend Engineer to join their growing team in Dubai. The Senior Backend Engineer will play a key role in leading the development of scalable backend systems using Golang. The role involves designing and implementing robust backend services, developing and maintaining both SQL and NoSQL database structures, and applying security best practices across all layers of the backend stack.

This role will be responsible for integrating backend services with frontend components via RESTful APIs, documenting features, conducting thorough testing, and resolving bugs to ensure high-quality software delivery. Collaboration with frontend and DevOps teams will be essential to deliver high-performance, secure, and scalable solutions.

To be considered for this role, the ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in Go Language development, with a strong grasp of microservices and RESTful architecture. Alternatively, candidates with strong Python experience who are open to learning Go are also encouraged to apply. Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and Git is essential, along with solid experience in database optimization and performance tuning. The ideal candidate will demonstrate high attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

Preferred qualifications include familiarity with AWS and CI/CD tools, as well as additional experience in Python or JavaScript. Excellent communication skills in English are required.
