The Senior Manager – Hyperscaler Sales is responsible for leading strategic sales initiatives and managing relationships with global and regional hyperscaler clients (cloud service providers, AI infrastructure platforms, and large-scale digital content players). The role aims to drive revenue growth, increase market penetration, and secure long-term commercial agreements by positioning Syntys as the preferred digital infrastructure provider across the MENA region. This role is critical in enabling Syntys’ ambitious expansion and supporting its positioning as the leading partner for hyperscaler requirements in the region.
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to acquire and grow hyperscaler accounts across the MENA region.
- Manage the entire sales cycle—from lead generation to contract negotiation and closure—for hyperscaler clients.
- Build, maintain, and expand long-term relationships with global and regional hyperscalers, ensuring client satisfaction and account retention.
- Create and maintain a qualified sales pipeline aligned with Syntys’ commercial strategy and revenue targets.
- Identify upcoming capacity needs and proactively position the company as the partner of choice for new deployments.
- Lead commercial negotiations and structure competitive, profitable, and compliant proposals in collaboration with Finance, Engineering, Legal, and Operations teams.
- Analyze and respond to RFPs/RFIs from hyperscaler clients, ensuring timely and compelling submissions.
- Deliver accurate sales forecasts, reports, and performance metrics to the VP Commercial and Senior Leadership.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure operational feasibility and successful implementation of solutions sold.
- Monitor industry trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies to inform Syntys’ commercial positioning and go-to-market approach.
- Represent Syntys at key industry events, conferences, and forums to enhance brand visibility and credibility among hyperscalers.
- Translate technical and operational requirements from hyperscaler clients into tailored, scalable commercial solutions.
- Coordinate with Operations and Delivery teams to ensure seamless handover and post-sales execution.
- Conduct regular account reviews and customer success activities, including Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
- Drive expansion and upsell opportunities within existing accounts to maximize contract value and long-term engagement.
- Support cross-functional initiatives to improve commercial processes, service quality, and speed of delivery.
Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, ICT, or a related field is required.
- A Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) is preferred.
- Fluent in English, Arabic language capability preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive B2B sales experience in the ICT, cloud, or data center industry.
- At least 5 years of direct experience managing Hyperscaler or large enterprise accounts in a regional or global context.
- Proven track record in closing large-scale, multi-year commercial agreements with global cloud service providers or AI infrastructure clients.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams across Engineering, Finance, Legal, and Delivery functions in complex sales cycles.
- Prior experience in a high-growth, mission-critical infrastructure environment.
- Familiarity with data center technical specifications, power capacity planning, and sustainability considerations relevant to Hyperscalers.
