DevOps Engineer

My client is based in the Manchester area, is currently looking to recruit an experienced DevOps Engineer for a newly formed Software team. They are one of the leaders within the Banking space. They are currently going through a period of growth and are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer. They are backed by a huge multinational equity firm who are looking to bolster my client's financial position. They are expected to see year-on-year growth, which will allow them to implement and utilise the most in-demand and cutting-edge technology on the market right now.

Your role will include:

• Automation & Scripting: Hands-on experience crafting automation solutions using languages like Bash, Python, Go, Java, or equivalents.
• Containerisation & Orchestration: Familiarity with deploying and managing containerized applications using platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
• Continuous Integration & Delivery: Practical knowledge of pipeline setup and maintenance using tools akin to TeamCity, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Nexus, or Nolio.
• Systems & Infrastructure: Skilled in overseeing both Linux and Windows environments, including tasks like load balancing and system optimization.
• Source Control: Proficient in Git-based workflows, including branching models and repository governance.
• Database Automation: Understanding of SQL and the ability to automate data-centric processes, such as migrations or transformations.

• Prior exposure to Security Practices: DevSecOps principles, vulnerability scanning.
