We are looking for a Product Designer to work with one of the leading global tech giants, based in Zurich, Switzerland

The role is to join their contingent workforce (contract) initially on a one year contract which can be be extended through to 18 months.

This team work remotely from all across the world, but you must be in Switzerland.

You will work closely with engineers, QA, a community team, a product manager, and be part of a team of designers working on Maps and AR/VR. The primary goal is to drive the user experience for their product across mobile, web & desktop.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, prototype, and build flows and experiences across mobile (Android/iOS), web, and desktop
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new product features
• Translate complex user needs and product requirements into intuitive interfaces
• Assess feasibility of design options within time and engineering constraints
• Maintain and update design systems
• Contribute to product roadmaps and presentations
• Give and solicit feedback from designers and a broader product team in order to continually improve quality of work

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience designing for mobile/web/desktop
• 5+ years of UI/UX design experience
• 5+ years of visual design experience
• 5+ years of interaction design experience
• Proficiency in Figma and other design & prototyping tools
• Solid understanding of Google Material Design and Apple HIG
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing map-based experiences or mapping platforms
• Illustration or motion design experience
• Strategic product thinking
• Technical knowledge of app or web development
• Interest in open data
