Product Designer – Mapping & Spatial Technology

Location: Zurich, Switzerland | Hybrid (3 days on-site)

We're looking for a Product Designer to help shape how people collect, view, and use street-level imagery to build better maps — across mobile, web, and desktop platforms.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll own product design from concept to execution. You'll work closely with engineers, product managers, and a wider design org focused on spatial computing, maps, and AR/VR technologies. The work is high-impact, user-driven, and touches real-world data from every corner of the globe.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Designing and prototyping product flows across Android, iOS, desktop, and web
• Translating complex workflows into clear, usable interfaces
• Partnering with engineering, QA, and product teams to ship features at scale
• Evolving and maintaining design systems and visual patterns
• Participating in roadmap planning and communicating design vision
• Giving and receiving thoughtful critique within the design and product org

What You’ll Bring:

• 5+ years of product design experience across platforms (mobile, web, desktop)
• A strong portfolio that shows user-centric thinking, craft, and functional design
• Proficiency in Figma and prototyping tools
• Deep understanding of Google Material Design and Apple HIG
• Ability to balance product goals, user needs, and technical constraints
• Strong visual and interaction design fundamentals
• Clear communicator with strong attention to detail

Bonus Points For:

• Experience designing tools for maps, geospatial data, or image-based platforms
• Motion design or illustration skills
• Front-end dev knowledge or technical fluency
• Interest in open data, civic tech, or large-scale visual platforms
• Strategic mindset and ability to shape product direction
