BI Consultant - KPI Dashboard Designer – Operational Planning

For our client, a leading engineering consultancy specialized in railway infrastructure and mobility projects, we are currently seeking a KPI dashboard designer

📍 Location: Brussels (with occasional travel within Belgium)

🕒 Work setup: Hybrid (On-site presence required for meetings as needed)

We are looking for a KPI Dashboard Designer to support our Operational Planning department on a temporary basis. In this role, you will play a key part in designing, developing, and improving data-driven dashboards and reports to support strategic decision-making.

🧩 About the Department

Our team is responsible for coordinating planned disruptions on the railway network to enable infrastructure works, and for long-term planning of rolling stock with limited availability. You will work closely with an internal subject matter expert who will support you with business context and content.

🎯 Your Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and improve dashboards and reports for the Operational Planning department
• Map key business processes to define accurate performance measurement points (KPIs)
• Define and implement KPIs aligned with the department's strategic goals
• Identify and consolidate existing relevant reports across the company
• Translate stakeholder needs into impactful visualizations and data analyses
• Act as project lead and report directly to the department manager
• Deliver a complete, structured, and tailored KPI dashboard/reporting solution by the end of the mission

🛠️ Technical Skills Required

• Strong knowledge of Power BI and relevant MS Office applications
• Experience with data modeling and building analytics frameworks
• Programming skills (e.g., Python) for extracting data from databases
• Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders
