DevSecOps Engineer - Rotterdam - ALTEN Netherlands

The Position

As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a DevSecOps Engineer to join our team and contribute to ongoing client projects in Rotterdam.

As a DevSecOps Engineer, your main tasks will include:

• Embed security directly into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, etc.)
• Automate security testing using SAST, DAST, and vulnerability scanning tools
• Collaborate with developers to build secure-by-default pipelines
• Implement and improve security baselines (e.g., CIS benchmarks) and best practices
• Promote “shift-left” security principles, integrating testing early and often
• Analyse results from tools like OWASP ZAP, Nexus, and others, and translate findings into actionable improvements

Your Profile

• Fluency in Dutch is required for this role
• Completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or similar
• 3-5 years of experience in DevSecOps, Application Security, or Security Engineering roles
• Proven experience designing, implementing, and maintaining secure CI/CD pipelines at scale
• In-depth knowledge of secure coding practices, vulnerability management, and "shift-left" security
• Experience with a range of security tooling and techniques (e.g., container scanning, SBOMs, secrets management)
• Strong cloud security understanding (AWS, Azure, or GCP) including IAM, workload protection, etc.
