Position: Head of Card Product - Spain
Aventus Group is expanding our Spanish operations by launching a new business direction - digital credit cards. We’re looking for a visionary and execution-focused leader to take full ownership of this vertical: from strategy to launch, from operations to growth.
You’ll work from our modern office in the center of Málaga, lead cross-functional teams, manage partners and performance, and help us build one of the most customer-centric card products in the Spanish market.
🔑 Key Responsibilities:- Define and lead the strategy, roadmap, and go-to-market plan for the credit card product in Spain
- Own the business model, P&L, and performance metrics of the direction
- Build partnerships with issuers, BIN sponsors, processors, and payment networks (Visa/Mastercard)
- Oversee product localization and end-to-end delivery with support from product, tech, compliance, and marketing teams
- Recruit and manage local or remote team members as needed (operations, support, etc.)
- Ensure full regulatory compliance (KYC/AML, PSD2, PCI DSS, GDPR, etc.)
- Represent the product direction with partners, internal stakeholders, and the broader fintech community
- 4+ years of experience in credit card products, digital banking, or fintech in Spain
- Strong track record in launching or scaling card-based financial products
- Deep understanding of Spanish and EU regulatory frameworks
- Experience working with processors, payment networks, and issuing partners
- Entrepreneurial mindset: ability to operate in early-stage or scale-up environments
- Leadership skills to attract, lead and coordinate cross-functional teams
- Fluent in Spanish and English
