ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Java Development: Develop and maintain high-quality software using Java 17+ and the Quarkus framework.
• Platform Optimization: Design, build, and optimize scalable applications on AWS, ensuring resilience and high performance.
• Collaboration and Problem Solving: Work with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to define and implement solutions.
• Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices, and participate in code reviews to provide constructive feedback.
• API Development: Utilize REST and gRPC for API creation and consumption.
• CI/CD Pipeline Management: Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines with Git and Gradle for build automation.
• Database Management: Ensure optimal data storage and retrieval through relational databases (RDBMS) and NoSQL databases.
• Mentorship: Mentor junior developers and support their growth through guidance and feedback.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve software defects and other technical issues.
• Industry Knowledge: Stay updated on trends and technologies to maintain a competitive edge.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 7-10+ years of professional experience in Java development, with strong proficiency in Java 17+ and the Quarkus framework.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficient with AWS services and cloud-based/microservices architecture.
• Strong understanding of REST and gRPC for API development.
• Expertise in Git for version control and Gradle for build automation.
• Solid experience with RDBMS (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB) databases.
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, effective communication, and a collaborative mindset.
• Agile Experience: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies is preferred.
• Networking Knowledge: Understanding of networking concepts (ICMP, SNMP, subnets, L2/L3 layers) is a plus.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Certifications: AWS Certification, such as AWS Certified Developer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
• Containerization: Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Additional Programming Skills: Familiarity with other programming languages and frameworks.
• Leadership: Previous experience in mentoring and leading development teams.
