Role Description
This is a Contract Remote Game Programmer role. You will be responsible for coding and developing game features, collaborating with designers and artists, debugging code, and optimizing game performance.
Our project uses Unreal Engine 5 and many of it's most cutting-edge features, namely Metahuman's, Motion Matching, Blueprints, and Lumen/Nanite. Experience with these specific technologies is an asset but not a requirement. The ideal contractee is able to architect systems and create modular assets that exhibit polymorphic behavior.
The role involves using object-oriented programming principles to bring the game's vision to life and ensuring smooth gameplay experiences. We offer training for those who are not familiar with the Unreal Engine.
We provide On-the-Job training for any new hires during our onboarding process. Basic competency is still expected but we are ready and willing to help fill in knowledge gaps should they exist.
Contract details are negotiable but will likely consist of the following:
- You will be considered an Independent contractor and not an employee of Infinite Loop Studios
- 20 Hours/week minimum time commitment
- 2-5% revenue share and/or Salaried compensation up to $80,000.
- There is no in-office requirement for this position
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Unreal Engine
- Strong foundation in Computer Science and Programming
- Experience with Object-Oriented - Programming (OOP) concepts
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Prior experience in the video game industry is a plus
We're a startup! Our compensation plan consists of a revenue share split. There is a possibility for us to revisit our contract to support a salaried position at a later date, There is also the possibility of pre-release compensation and bonuses in the case that we secure significant funding.
