Information Technology - Application Developer (Customer Experience) (Malaysia)

Job Description

  • Review business requirements and perform impact analysis.
  • Work with IT and business units to propose IT solutions by refining specifications and requirements based on available technology. Liaise with business users and developers to refine user stories.
  • Design and code using best software development practices.
  • Create and maintain software documentation, including solution proposals, detailed technical design and test scripts
  • Anticipate potential issues that may impact the implementation of initiatives.
  • Support applications and track for prompt resolution of problems and issues.
  • This is a sole contributor role.

Requirements

  • Possess a degree in Information Technology or related fields.
  • At least 5 years of experience in application development.
  • Strong analytical, communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Java application design, solutioning (including database design) and software development.
  • Java (web) based software development experience, including object oriented design and system architecture for web applicationsStrong understanding of Web User Interface Design (UI), cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards.
  • Experience with APIs, Java based Web Services (SOAP UI), Multimedia Content Development, session management
  • Experience with programming languages such as XML, JSON, HTML, HTML5, CSS, Java, JavaScript.
  • Experience with JavaScript technology such as Angular, JQuery Library and React framework will be an added advantage
  • Familiarity with continuous integration & build tools such as Ant, Maven, Gradle, etc.
  • Knowledge in other IT technical areas (network, servers, information security, middleware and AWS) will be advantageous.
  • Knowledge in Gen AI tools such as ChatGPT, Germini, Palo will be useful.
