Network Engineer

Job Description

Infosys is seeking a Network Engineer. The Network Team is responsible for the planning, Infrastructure and ongoing maintenance of the client network: design, implement, lead, and support the networks for network infrastructure.

Required Qualifications

• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Indianapolis, IN, or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel in the US
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education
• At least 4 years of Information Technology experience
• At least 2 years of experience in a Network support role
• Hands on experience with Cisco routing and switching platforms and supporting large scale-out network
• Incumbent must make themselves available during core business hours and On-call rotation
• Provide accurate, clear, concise documentation and assistance to Service Operations
• Support WAN connections to ATI commercial endpoint devices.
• Work closely with network team to support all client network requirements
• Create documentation to project teams, peers, and network support organizations.

Preferred Qualifications

Working Knowledge of:

• IP networking such as SDWAN, MPLS, and VPN
• Network hardware including Cisco routers and switches
• IP routing protocols including EIGRP, OSPF and BGP
• Cisco encryption technologies (IPSec, SSL), standby protocols HSRP and VRRP, and network address translation (NAT)
• VRF and VNF
• NSX
• Extraordinary Planning, Project Management, Coordination, and Analytical skills
• Hands-on experience in working in Global Delivery Model with onsite/offshore resources
• Exceptional Organizational Skills
• Ability to manage and prioritize tasks efficiently
• Readiness to demonstrate a proactive attitude
• Solid attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
• Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment
  
  

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face to face.
