Web Developer

Job Purpose:

The Web Developer – UI/UX is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining user-centric, modern, and responsive interfaces for SharePoint On-Premise and SharePoint Online platforms, with a primary focus on revamping the company's intranet portal. The role emphasizes user experience, accessibility, and performance, aligning with branding guidelines and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

UI/UX Design & Development

• Redesign and develop the company intranet portal using SharePoint On-Premise and Online.
• Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes using Figma, Adobe XD, or Penpot.
• Ensure compliance with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1) and responsive design principles.
• Develop animated SVG elements using tools like SVgator (preferred).
• Maintain UI/UX consistency through design systems, style guides, and reusable component libraries.

Front-End Development

• Build interactive and responsive UIs using React.js, JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX.
• Customize SharePoint interfaces using SPFx, HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap.
• Create and maintain custom SharePoint web parts, templates, and themes.
• Optimize front-end performance and ensure cross-browser compatibility.

Systems Analysis, Testing & Maintenance

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze user requirements.
• Conduct usability testing, collect feedback, and iterate design improvements.
• Perform unit, regression, and UAT testing in SharePoint environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve UI/UX-related issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Maintain and update existing SharePoint-based solutions in response to business needs.

Documentation & Support

• Maintain documentation including style guides, manuals, and design rationale.
• Provide user training materials to support onboarding and adoption of the revamped UI.
• Assist superiors with related tasks contributing to team objectives.

Required Skills & Competencies:

Technical Skills

• 5+ years of experience in UI/UX design and front-end development.
• At least 3 years working with SharePoint On-Premise and SharePoint Online.
• Expertise in React.js, JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX.
• Experience with Figma, Adobe XD, or Penpot for wireframing and prototyping.
• Proficiency in SPFx, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and SVG animation tools.
• Understanding of WCAG accessibility, responsive UI principles, and Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
• Familiarity with Power Platform is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications & Certifications:
