About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Product Manager to join Swinburne.

This newly created position within Information Technology at Swinburne is responsible for bringing a strong product mindset to product and solution planning and execution throughout the technology lifecycle to drive solutions that meet the needs of students, our staff and Swinburne’s overall strategy.

Reporting to the Digital Solution Manager – Student you will:

  • collaboratively define the technology vision, strategy and roadmap
  • apply product discovery approaches to uncover customer needs and explore solution options, and
  • bring delivery expertise to implement solutions that drive strategic outcomes.

You will also manage a portfolio of software systems, negotiate priorities with stakeholders from across the business, identifying changes and enhancements that drive satisfaction, delight and value for students and staff, all while ensuring a strong economic return on investment for the university’s technology budget.

About You

To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Lead the development of outcome-based product roadmaps in collaboration with business, architecture, and other teams to deliver timely value to customers
  • Facilitate prioritization of initiatives working in collaboration with the business stakeholders and technology teams
  • Contribute to the development of a high-performance work culture that meets current and emerging needs of the university as the technology landscape rapidly evolves
  • Pro-actively contribute to the IT strategic plan, business plan and budget planning process for the IT team.
  • Drive customer satisfaction with IT solutions and services to improve business performance and achievement of business strategies.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant information technology discipline
