Java Software Engineer

I am currently searching for a Java Software Engineer to join my client in the Flemish Region. This would be a payroll opportunity.

Your Role

• Build and maintain robust, scalable backend systems in a microservices environment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, architects, and product owners
• Contribute to platform evolution and architecture
• Promote engineering best practices and knowledge sharing
• Stay engaged in the full development lifecycle from design to deployment

Your Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• ~5 years of professional experience building backend systems with Java and Spring Boot
• Strong knowledge of microservices architectures
• Experience working with time-series or data analytics platforms is a plus
• Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and RESTful APIs
• Familiarity with best practices like TDD, DDD, and SOLID principles
• Comfortable in Agile/Scrum environments
• Excellent communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus)
• Team-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn

Nice to Have

• Experience with technologies such as Kubernetes, Angular, or event-driven systems
