As a RAN Optimization Engineer, you’ll...

contribute to the development and advancement of RAN automation, leveraging the Self-Organizing Networks (SON) paradigm and broader automation frameworks. Your responsibilities will include maintaining and enhancing SON algorithms, as well as advancing the overall capabilities of the RAN optimization tool to enable intelligent, closed-loop optimization of the radio network. You will define and implement key KPIs required for automated optimization tools, ensuring alignment with performance and business objectives. A significant part of your role will be to drive the evolution and continuous enhancement of our new unified PM solution, capable of harmonizing network visibility across the entire Telia Company Radio Access Networks, Nordics and Baltics footprint.

In this role, you will be responsible for performance guidelines, KPI definitions, reporting, and dashboards ownership. Serving as a trusted adviser to country organizations, you will guide the development of tailored performance reports and views based on their needs, offering support as required—and where necessary, you will also take the lead in creating them yourself. You are expected to be skilled in data analysis, able to interpret performance metrics with precision and extract actionable insights. Additionally, you will act as a coach and subject matter expert, sharing your radio optimization knowledge across other units in the organization. Your work will have a direct impact on simplifying network operations, improving efficiency, and enabling future-ready mobile networks.

Your experience:

• At least 5 years of experience in Radio Network Optimization
• Proven success in enhancing network quality and performance
• Comfortable explaining things to both tech-savvy and non-technical audiences
• Preferably experienced in network protocol analysis and/or troubleshooting
• Fluent in English, both written and spoke

(Monthly salary range for this position: 4300 - 6400 EUR before tax deduction.)
