Engineer (SR) IT Network & Security

Task Responsibilities:

  • In collaboration with the Cybersecurity team and Infrastructure Architects, implement and ensure that appropriate controls are in place for the protection of the company’s information assets against all forms of information security threats.
  • Actively identify vulnerabilities existing in our Network and Security Infrastructure and take appropriate actions to mitigate them.
  • Regularly oversee penetration tests to find any flaws existing in the infrastructure.
  • Support the implementation of a set of security controls defined in the security roadmap and following infrastructure team guidelines.
  • Integrate new Network & Security solution and maintain the existing ones.
  • Provide L3/L2 expertise for the IT department.
  • Evaluate IT Network & Security risks in new projects and/or solutions.
  • Ensure 24/7 support of business-critical system by integrating the on-call escalation team (on a rotation scheme).

Essential Requirements For The Position:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent experience in a computer science or Network & Information security related field.
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in a similar IT Network & Security role.
  • Hands on experience with Fortinet Firewalls, Varonis, Waf, SSL VPN, S2S, CyberArk.
  • Demonstrate an in-depth technical knowledge of IT security risks and industry best practices.
  • Previous experience as an external consultant would be an asset.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to educate non-technical audiences on various security measures/topics.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team player and ability to work with multiple technical teams and technologies to ensure high security standard of the entire IT landscape.
  • Experience in the airline industry would be considered a strong advantage.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Be willing to travel when required within our international organization (more than 50 different countries).

Working Conditions:

  • Permanent contract.
  • Full-time position based in our HQ in Luxembourg.
  • Occasional travel required.
  • The position holder might have to be an stand-by outside the normal office hours and weekends in case of incidents.
  • Standard office hours are to be expected Monday - Friday.
  • A Certificate of good conduct (Casier judiciaire, Polizeiliches Führungszeugnis) will be required in case of a positive selection.
