A major Japanese market leader in multilingual communication solutions with an extensive global network is seeking a talented Japanese speaking Full Stack Engineer to join its Amsterdam office.

WORK STYLE: Hybrid – currently three days in the office, two days remote (full-time office attendance required during training period)

Contract Type: Fixed-term (1-year contract to start, with potential for permanent employment)

Salary: €50,000 – €55,000 per year, depending on experience

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands (Hybrid after training period)

Full Stack Engineer Main Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain both front-end and back-end applications

• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using PHP and the Laravel framework

• Develop interactive user interfaces with JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern UI libraries such as React or Vue.js

• Deploy and manage applications using Docker Containers

• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines with tools like GitHub Actions

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the full stack

Full Stack Engineer Ideal Candidate:

Essential:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent thinking level

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in IT system development

• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer

• Strong proficiency in PHP and the Laravel framework

• Solid understanding of modern TypeScript and JavaScript development

• Experience with at least one modern frontend framework (e.g., React, Vue.js)

• Hands-on experience with Docker Containers

• Excellent version control skills with Git and GitHub

• Experience with DevOps tools including CI/CD pipelines

• Excellent written and spoken Japanese and English

Beneficial:

• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)

• Knowledge of database systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server)

• Experience with .NET and/or C#

• Experience with testing frameworks

• Familiarity with web servers like NGINX and Apache

• Basic knowledge of XML or DITA stylesheets for content development

• Linux shell scripting for automation and system administration

• Troubleshooting in both Linux and Windows server environments
