Senior Android Developer

ROLE DESCRIPTION - KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

·      Create and maintain Android applications from the requirements to the Google Play Store

·      Follow the best mobile and Java/Kotlin practices to create clean, documented and reusable code

·      Develop network sensitive applications integrated with security and different authentication providers

·      Work closely with the design team to deliver the best UX

·      Participate in code reviews and implement tests to ensure high-quality software

·      Commitment to complete projects on time

·      Help the team evolve, sharing and experimenting new ideas and technologies

MAIN REQUIREMENTS:

·      At least 3 years of experience in Android development

·      Solid knowledge of the Android SDK, working with Java or Kotlin

·      Good knowledge of Android design patterns and software architecture principles (MVP/MVVM)

·      Solid understanding of engineering principles and fundamentals of the different stages of mobile development, including automated testing, build processes and deployment

·      Creating testable code and make testing a priority

·      Knowledge of industry best practices

·      Write and review code, troubleshoot technical issues.

·      Maintain project plans and reports

·      Prior experience with Git source control system and tools such as GitHub or GitLab

·      Agile methodologies such as SCRUM or Kanban

·      Good communication and organizational skills

·      Proficiency in English

NICE TO HAVE:

·      Experience and knowledge with Android Automotive

·      Knowledge of C++

·      Knowledge of Gerrit

·      Understanding of Flutter framework development, being comfortable with Dart language

·      Experience with iOS (Swift/Objective-C)

·      Expertise with RESTful APIs to connect to back-end services

·      Versatile with 3rd party libraries

·      Having published apps in Google Play

·      Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins)
