Chief Technology Officer – Next-Generation Compute Infrastructure

An ambitious and mission-driven technology organization is seeking a visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to architect and lead the development of a pioneering compute infrastructure platform. This platform is designed to support massive-scale AI training, low-latency inference, and sovereign AI capabilities across Europe and beyond.

This is not a traditional CTO role focused on incremental delivery. It’s an opportunity to define and realize the infrastructure backbone of intelligent computation—from silicon to sustainability, from energy systems to AI workloads.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and oversee the buildout of modular, AI-native, and energy-positive data centers.
• Define and implement a scalable infrastructure vision—from edge compute nodes to multi-hundred-megawatt AI supercomputing hubs.
• Lead technical strategy across advanced datacenter systems, energy integration, and compute optimization.
• Collaborate with global energy, infrastructure, and engineering partners, particularly in Europe, India, and the Middle East.
• Ensure system readiness for high-throughput compute operations, real-time AI inferencing, and dynamic workload balancing.
• Drive innovation in sustainability, performance, and computational sovereignty.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 10+ years of deep technical leadership experience across compute infrastructure domains.
• Proven expertise in one or more of the following areas:
• High-density or hyperscale data center design
• Immersion or liquid cooling technologies
• Software-defined infrastructure systems
• Renewable energy integration (e.g., battery systems, grid interconnects)
• AI/ML compute architectures, HPC including GPUs and custom accelerators
• (Bonus) Experience with quantum or cryogenic systems
• Strong communication skills with fluency in English across technical and executive contexts.
• A systems thinker who integrates compute, energy, and intelligence into a unified design approach.
• Passionate about pushing boundaries in sustainability, sovereignty, and infrastructure design.
