Job Title: Business Analyst – Payments

Location: Dubai, UAE

Experience: 6 to 12 years

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Analyst – Payments to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have deep domain expertise in the payments landscape of the UAE and will act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams. This role requires hands-on experience with regulatory compliance, especially with UAE Central Bank frameworks, and a strong understanding of local and cross-border payment systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements in the payments domain.
• Map current business processes and suggest optimizations for payment operations, regulatory reporting, and compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Compliance, Product, IT) to design solutions aligned with UAE Central Bank regulations.
• Lead requirement gathering workshops, conduct gap analysis, and define solution strategies.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation including BRDs, Functional Specifications, and User Stories.
• Work closely with development and QA teams through the SDLC to ensure timely and quality delivery.
• Define UAT test scenarios, validate test results, and support business teams during testing phases.
• Stay updated on UAE Central Bank regulatory changes and ensure ongoing compliance.
• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on UAE payment products:
• UAEFTS (Real-time & Bulk)
• WPS
• ICCS
• Cross-border Remittances
• Deliver post-implementation support and conduct training for end-users.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of UAE payments ecosystem, including:
• UAEFTS, WPS, ICCS, DDA, SWIFT, ISO 20022
• Experience in end-to-end payment system implementation.
• Solid understanding of Central Bank of UAE regulations, compliance standards, and reporting requirements.
• Expertise in drafting BRDs, FSDs, use cases, and user stories.
• Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum project environments.
• Awareness of payment risks, fraud detection, and AML considerations.
  

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Must be currently based in UAE or willing to relocate.
