DevOps Consultant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive DevOps Consultant with strong expertise in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines, automation, and tool integration. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Jenkins, Nexus, Docker, GitLab, and Groovy scripting, with bonus points for Azure DevOps experience. You will work closely with development and operations teams to ensure efficient software delivery and deployment across environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines to support agile development and deployment.
• Implement and manage Jenkins pipelines using Groovy scripting for continuous integration and delivery.
• Administer and maintain artifact repositories using Nexus.
• Support Docker-based containerization and integration within DevOps pipelines.
• Integrate Jira and GitLab with CI/CD tools to enable traceability and streamlined workflows.
• Manage build and dependency management using tools such as Maven, Ant, NPM, and PIP.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with build failures, performance bottlenecks, and automation workflows.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to optimize release cycles and system reliability.
• Apply DevOps best practices to ensure consistent and automated environments across development, testing, and production.
• Work with Azure DevOps to manage cloud-based pipelines and deployment strategies (preferred).

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of CI/CD processes, DevOps methodologies, and infrastructure automation.
• Hands-on experience with:
• Jenkins (scripted and declarative pipelines using Groovy)
• Nexus Repository Manager
• GitLab (code repository and CI/CD)
• Docker
• Jira integration
• Proficiency in scripting with Groovy, Bash, or Python.
• Experience with build tools: Maven, Ant, NPM, PIP.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Strong troubleshooting and performance monitoring capabilities.

Nice to Have:

• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, ARM templates, or YAML pipelines.
• Familiarity with cloud-native deployments and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Exposure to Kubernetes, Helm, and container orchestration is a plus.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in DevOps or build/release engineering roles.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert) are a plus.
