Lead Platform / DevOps Engineer | Kubernetes sitting on Azure + Terraform | FinTech

• £85,000 - £100,000 + 15% Bonus
• Hybrid London (Victoria) location. 2-3 days per week in the office preferred

We’re working with a long-standing favourite, a major financial services firm (circa 700 employees) with a Global Enterprise Azure estate. Our client is expanding to the USA banking business (ironically based out of the UK) and needs a Lead Azure Platform / DevOps Engineer (Kubernetes focus) to be the technical lead and authority on their global Kubernetes architecture.

As a global leader in international financial services, they have built a strong reputation over the past 40 years and are now expanding further into the FinTech space. You will be leading things from a technical and personnel perspective, as you'll have a team of 2-3 people you'll be responsible for.

Essentials:

• Kubernetes - Very strong knowledge is needed, our client is using AKS but EKS etc would be considered
• Public Cloud. Our client is a heavy Azure user, so some Azure experience will be required, but they're open-minded if you've come from a multi-cloud background, so long as you're a Kubernetes master
• Terraform, ARM or Bicep (any of these will be ok, but Terraform is the primary one our client uses)
• Github Actions & ArgoCD and a little bit of Azure DevOps

Essentially, you will be navigating the complete build and working with the stakeholders to get a Kubernetes and OpenStack environment built, sitting on Azure. It's an awesome project to come in at a great time to be working on a once-in-a-lifetime scale project!

This is a very senior role where the buck stops with you to manage the infrastructure and platform. Please only apply if you have a wealth of experience in this space.
