Our client is a leading global network of independent assurance, tax, and advisory firms, delivering strategic, high-quality services to flexible organizations. We are seeking a seasoned Data Analyst to join the Digital Team and help consult in data modelling, integration and analysis will be pivotal in shaping business landscape. The role reports directly to the Head of Applications, Data, and Integration, and offers the unique opportunity to collaborate with a close-knit team of experts, including Data Scientists, BI Specialists and Application Specialists.

The Role:

You will be client facing and helping consult to build greenfield data environments, your contributions will leave a lasting impact as you implement data models and pipelines that support meaningful and practible analytics, helping to drive positive change with an engaged and supportive business.

With a modern, greenfield data environment at your fingertips, you'll help shape scalable data models and efficient pipelines, delivering powerful insights that support strategic decision-making across the business.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with stakeholders across the business to gather data and reporting requirements, and translate them into effective, scalable analytics solutions.
  • Build and maintain clean, reliable datasets using SQL and Python within Databricks, supporting both operational reporting and strategic analysis.
  • Develop and deliver insightful dashboards and reports using Power BI to help drive data-informed decisions.
  • Use Python/pySpark in Databricks to automate data preparation, analysis, and reporting workflows.
  • Support the development and improvement of data pipelines and processes in collaboration with other data specialists, ensuring data is accurate, timely, and accessible.
  • Work with cloud-based data platforms, particularly within Microsoft Azure. Collaborate with engineering team members to ensure data solutions are secure, reliable, and well-integrated.

Skills & experience

  • Advanced SQL skills for querying and transforming large datasets across various sources.
  • Proficiency in Python/pySpark, particularly in the context of Databricks, for data manipulation, analysis, and automation.
  • Hands-on experience working in Databricks, including familiarity with notebooks, workflows, and collaborative data development.
  • Strong experience building dashboards and data models in Power BI or similar BI tools.
  • Comfortable working with cloud-based data platforms, ideally within Azure.
  • Ability to collaborate with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders to deliver data solutions that meet business needs.
  • Familiarity with data best practices, including governance, quality, and documentation.
