Hiring: Senior Azure Cloud Platform / DevOps Engineer (Freelance)

Location: Brussels, Belgium (Hybrid – 2 days/week onsite)

We’re looking for a Senior Azure Cloud Platform / DevOps Engineer to join a major federal public institution in Brussels. You’ll be part of the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE), contributing to secure, scalable, and modern Azure infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Bicep
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
• Deploy and manage container-based applications in AKS
• Work with Azure services like Entra ID, App Gateway, API Management, Azure Monitor
• Document architecture and processes using Azure Wiki, Visio, and SharePoint
• Collaborate with developers and cross-functional teams to ensure best practices
• Support knowledge sharing, security, and DevOps maturity within teams

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in Azure DevOps, CI/CD, Terraform, PowerShell, and scripting (Azure CLI or Python)
• Hands-on experience with containerization (AKS/Kubernetes), security, and cloud-native architecture
• Familiarity with Azure services for networking, monitoring, and identity
• Proficiency with documentation tools (Office, Visio, SharePoint)
• Experience working in structured project/change management environments
• Native-level Dutch or French and professional English are mandatory
