Machine Learning Engineer | Manufacturing Sector | GenAI & ML | Bielefeld (Hybrid)

AI Futures have been exclusively retained to appoint a Machine Learning Engineer for a leading manufacturing and industrial solutions provider based in Bielefeld. This is a hands-on technical position with full project ownership, combining deep machine learning expertise with exposure to client interaction, implementation leadership, and modern GenAI tooling.

You’ll be part of a forward-thinking team delivering scalable AI systems that solve complex, real-world challenges across industrial automation and production.

Hybrid: 2 days per week onsite in Bielefeld

Remuneration: Up to €120k total package

The Role

• Design and implement ML and GenAI solutions focused on NLP, LLMs, and intelligent automation
• Translate technical and operational requirements into scalable, production-grade models
• Build end-to-end ML pipelines and prototypes using Python, SQL, and modern frameworks
• Lead implementation projects across the full lifecycle, from concept through to go-live
• Interface directly with clients, supporting technical scoping and solution delivery
• Contribute to MLOps workflows and drive performance improvements across deployed models

The Candidate

• 2+ years of experience in applied Machine Learning, Deep Learning, or AI software engineering
• Strong understanding of GenAI and LLM frameworks such as Hugging Face, RAG, or transformers
• Proficient in Python and libraries like scikit-learn, LangChain, or PyTorch
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Ability to collaborate in agile, cross-functional teams across product and operations
• Languages: German (English a Bonus)
