Lead Quality Assurance Engineer

We are seeking for a Lead QA Engineer to drive the quality strategy across multiple projects and lead a team of skilled QA professionals. We're a client-focused organization thriving in a dynamic Agile environment, committed to collaboration and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor the QA team, ensuring high-quality deliverables and personal growth of team members
• Plan team capacity, track performance metrics, and coordinate vacation schedules to maintain delivery timelines
• Conduct code reviews of test automation and oversee test documentation quality
• Prioritize testing efforts and allocate resources across projects based on risk and value
• Define and drive overall test strategies for both UI and API layers
• Develop and maintain test automation frameworks using tools like Playwright or Selenium
• Review and analyze test results, ensuring timely resolution of defects
• Collaborate closely with development, product, and DevOps teams
• Report on test progress, quality metrics, and risks to stakeholders regularly
• Ensure adherence to best practices in test design, automation, and Agile methodologies

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
• 5+ years of QA experience, with at least 1–2 years in a lead or senior QA role
• Experience leading and mentoring QA teams in Agile/Scrum environments
• Proficiency in test automation (Selenium or Playwright), including framework design and maintenance
• Strong SQL knowledge for data validation
• Solid hands-on API testing experience using Postman
• Familiarity with Jira or Azure DevOps for backlog and test management
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems
• Strong analytical and organizational skills, ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

The preferred candidate must have: 

• Demonstrated ability to deeply understand client needs and translate them into effective test strategies that align with business goals
• Proven track record of working efficiently in Agile environments, showing flexibility and strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
• Experience in leading QA teams, including mentoring, task distribution, and performance feedback
• Ability to balance hands-on testing responsibilities with strategic planning and team coordination
• Skills in prioritizing tasks across multiple projects, managing timelines, and ensuring high-quality delivery
• Experience in coordinating team availability, including vacation planning, without compromising deadlines
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to clearly report on progress, blockers, and quality metrics
• A proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement, quality advocacy, and risk-based thinking
